Delete your JingleBird account

You can delete your JingleBird account and its data at any time, in the app or by email.

Effective date:

In the app

  1. Open JingleBird and sign in.
  2. Open Settings, then tap Delete account.
  3. Read what will be deleted, then confirm.

Without the app, by email

Email us from the address on your account and say you want it deleted. If you use Sign in with Apple and hid your email, or you write from another address, tell us how you sign in. We reply to your account's email address to confirm before we delete anything.

Before you delete

Your plan
If you pay for a plan, deleting your account cancels it, so you are not charged again. Reels left in the current month are lost. Deleting does not refund the current month, except as the refund and cancellation policy says.
Your reels
Save any reels you want to keep to your phone first. Deleted reels can't be recovered.

What we delete

Your account and everything in it: your sign-in, profile and business details, photos and videos, reels, captions, thumbnails, settings and the details we use to send you notifications.

We email you when it's done. We ask the companies that process data for us to delete their copies too, and copies in our backups are removed as the backups expire.

What we keep, and why

The law, or fair use of the free reels, means we keep a little after you delete:

  • Invoice and billing records (amount, date, invoice number, billing name and address), for as long as tax law requires.
  • The record that you agreed to a renewing plan, for as long as California law requires.
  • Anything under a legal hold or needed for a legal claim.
  • A one-way scrambled copy (a hash) of your email address and sign-in ids, for as long as we offer free reels, so free reels are not given to the same person twice. It can't be turned back into your email address.
  • Server logs, which are deleted within 30 days.
